FumeCare provides full supply and and installation of complete fume cupboard systems. We pride ourselves on exceptional service and workmanship the entire way through the installation process. We can relocate an existing fume cupboard, or install units you provide.

All fume cupboards provided and installed by FumeCare ltd are AS/NZ 2243.8:2014 compliant.

FumeCare provides SS 11 Fume cupboard testing for the issue of a Form12A for a Building Warrant of Fitness. Certification, along with a maintenance programme, is required annually and is paramount to a safe, functioning fume cupboard that is up to BWOF standard. FumeCare provides an annual fume cupboard certification and maintenance package. We use high quality testing equipment and all results are recorded in a report to the client. Once the fume cupboard passes the required tests it is issued with the Form 12A and a certification sticker on the fume cupboard.

Testing of the fume cupboard consists of:

– Air Velocity Testing

– Smoke/Air Current Testing

– Light/Lux Testing

– Sound Testing

Certification also consists of a safety checklist of the features and surroundings of the fume cupboard.

Servicing and Maintenance

All SS 11 Fume cupboards are required by law to have an annual servicing and maintenance performed. This consists of preventative maintenance as well as any repairs required to the fume cupboard, fan and associated ducting. Included in the service schedule is a complete clean of the inside and out of the fume chamber. All plumbing and electrical services are checked for faults as well as the general running of the fume cupboard. The fan has its bearings greased and fan belts changed where applicable. Anti-vibration mounts, plastic bolts and screws are replaced if showing signs of deterioration. Ducting is checked for damage, cracks or leaks and the exhaust flue guy system checked for stability.

FumeCare can offer a maintenance package which also includes a certification test for the issue of a Form12A for a Building Warrant of Fitness.

Duct Installation

One of our specialties at Fumecare is the fabrication, supply and installation of corrosion-resistant ducting. We predominantly use PVC ducting as it is resistant to most chemicals and fumes and provides a clean finished look.

Our ducts are fabricated from 4mm and 6mm thick PVC sheets. Standard cylindrical duct diameters include 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 315mm, 350mm, 400mm. Installed duct runs are joined on site by means of butt welding, welded slip-joints or flanged and bolted ends. All ducting is installed using quality corrosion-resistant brackets and seismic restraints.
