All SS 11 Fume cupboards are required by law to have an annual servicing and maintenance performed. This consists of preventative maintenance as well as any repairs required to the fume cupboard, fan and associated ducting. Included in the service schedule is a complete clean of the inside and out of the fume chamber. All plumbing and electrical services are checked for faults as well as the general running of the fume cupboard. The fan has its bearings greased and fan belts changed where applicable. Anti-vibration mounts, plastic bolts and screws are replaced if showing signs of deterioration. Ducting is checked for damage, cracks or leaks and the exhaust flue guy system checked for stability.
